Hill, Chesson & Woody Names Katharine Marshall JD, Compliance Officer

New Hire Responsible For Guiding Clients And Staff In Regulation Compliance For Health And Welfare Benefit Plans

CHAPEL HILL, NC, December 01, 2012 (Press-News.org) Hill, Chesson & Woody (HCW) (http://www.hcwbenefits.com), a health and welfare benefits brokerage and consulting firm that designs, manages and implements employee benefit programs, has announced that the firm has named Katharine Marshall as the company's compliance officer. In this position, Marshall will be responsible for guiding clients and staff in regulation compliance for health and welfare benefit plans, including all laws that impact employee benefits.

Prior to joining HCW, Katharine worked for a number of years in a premier multi-national law firm before moving to a litigation boutique in New York. As a litigator, she worked on several financial regulatory actions, state and federal white-collar crime investigations, and multimillion dollar commercial litigations involving contracts and trusts. She defended individual and corporate clients before the SEC, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, states Attorney Generals' offices and the Department of Justice.

Marshall received her Juris Doctor (JD) Cum Laude from New York University School of Law in 2002. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar, the New York Bar, the American Health Lawyers Association and the N.C. Association of Women Attorneys.
