ORLANDO, FL, December 05, 2012 (Press-News.org) On Thursday, January 31, 2013, English Turn Golf & Country Club will host the "Celebrity Golf Invitational." The event is a unique opportunity to not only play alongside the professional football legends but also be a part of the premier golf event during the championship week.
The Celebrity Golf Invitational will join forces with the NFL Players Association Former Players Chapters this year and host some of the greatest names in professional football, other athletes and entertainers along with many corporate clients and enthusiasts. The event will focus on raising money to support Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana.
The host of the Celebrity Golf Invitational will be actor Anthony Anderson. He currently stars in the new show Man with Kids and is known for his work in The Me, Myself & Irene, The Departed, and Hustle & Flow. Confirmed clothing sponsor is Under Armour for the Celebrity Golf Invitational. Under Armour currently sponsors golf pro Hunter Mahan, and football players Cam Newton, Miles Austin and Tom Brady. Other companies that have partnered with Celebrity Golf Invitational are: NFL Players Association, VPAR, Deelioz, Sheets, Golf Channel, Golf.com, Uptown Magazine and JetBlue. The Celebrity Golf Invitational features a pre-round golf clinic, golf with nationally recognized professional athletes and celebrity entertainers, a social hour, silent auction, and a few surprises along the way.
