Domodedovo Airport and Transaero Announce Scheduled Service to Hong Kong

MOSCOW, RUSSIA, August 12, 2010 (Press-News.org) On July 30 2010 Transaero started scheduled operations along Moscow - Hong Kong - Moscow route. Due to high speed Boeing B777 this flight from Moscow to Hong Kong will take less than 9 hours

In the launch phase flights UN967/968 will be operated once a week: departure from Moscow (Domodedovo) on Friday at 21 00, arrival to Hong Kong at 09 55 next day. Departure from Hong Kong on Saturday at 11 25, arrival to Moscow at 17 15 (local time indicated).
There are three class of service on board available for this flight: Business, Premium Economy and Tourist Economy.

On Transaero's Moscow - Hong Kong route a special offer is being made to Business and Premium Economy Class passengers. Passengers purchasing Business class tickets will be accommodated in Imperial class with its first class service and luxury seats reclining 180 degrees into lie-flat beds at not extra cost. As well as Premium Economy Class passengers will enjoy Transaero's Business class service at no additional cost. This special offer is valid until 30 October 2010.

Passengers of Transaero flights to Hong Kong may benefit various connections offered by Moscow Domodedovo Airport to both Russian and international destinations.
Launching its service to Hong Kong as well as increasing the frequency of flights to Beijing marks another step forward for Transaero Airlines in the realisation of its long standing plans to expand the carrier's presence in Asia and develop operations to and from all major global airports.

Transaero Airlines started operations in 1991. The airline fleet features twelve Boeing 747s, five Boeing 777s, eleven 767s, twenty 737s and three Tupolev 214s. It is the only carrier flying Boeing 777 and Boeing 747 passenger aircraft in Russia, the CIS and Eastern Europe. Transaero has the largest long-haul fleet in Russia. Transaero has Russian, European and US certification for independent aircraft maintenance, operating to about 100 destinations in Russia, Europe, Asia, Africa and North America.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport is the largest airport of Russia. Its market share in total passenger traffic in Moscow Aviation Hub makes 46%. At the moment 77 partner airlines (48 foreign including 12 representing the CIS States and 29 Russian) connecting over 233 destinations operate flights all over the world. The unique route network covered by Domodedovo partner airlines provides for 93 exclusive destinations. In 2009 18,7 million passengers benefited from Domodedovo services.

Domodedovo is the largest airport of Russia and the Eastern Europe, the number-one Russian airport in terms of passenger traffic. In 2009 Domodedovo airport provided services for 18,7 mln. passengers.
