2012-12-08
GREENBELT, MD, December 08, 2012 (Press-News.org) My Barber's Lounge (MBL) first opened in Greenbelt in May of 2012 and was so successful that it was followed by the opening of the Forestville location last month. This barbershop aims to be more than just a typical grooming emporium however. MBL wants to be a valuable asset to the community. My Barber's Lounge is proud to participate as a drop off station for Toys for Tots. Please bring your new toys to either location before December 23, 2012.

As an added benefit, MBL is offering a $2 discount on haircuts for every toy received by December 23!

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.

Though most campaign sites are able to assist children up to age 12, in many local communities, local support is so good that the age limit is often extended to include 14-16 year olds. The For older children, ages 14-16, consider items including but not limited to: sporting equipment, bags/balls; books, backpacks, cosmetics, purses, watch/wallet gift sets, bath gift sets, board games, radio control cars/trucks, hand-held electronics, skateboards/helmets, curling irons, hair straighteners, and hair dryers.
