Splash and Relax in the Snow With a Great Sledge
2012-12-09
WEST SUSSEX, ENGLAND, December 09, 2012 (Press-News.org) Splash and Relax have long since moved from the supply of leisure equipment suitable for only a summer's day and they are pleased to promote their full range of winter activity leisure equipment. Splash and Relax have noted that the demon gods who seem to have been controlling the weather this year are now getting ready for the winter sports season and according to a good many of the weather pundits the weather is going to be worse that for a few years. Splash and Relax have been careful to set up a full range of winter sledges for the impending season and these range from the very cheap entry hand held slides at GBP4.99 to the exotic Snow Double Racer Red Sledge Toboggan at GBP85. All of these plastic sledges can be supplied quickly from stock and provide an excellent range to choose from. The whole family can be set up cheaply for the odd day that it may snow in the areas where snow is less likely and perhaps more expensively where there may be weeks or months of good sledging to be had.

Splash and Relax have spent time in getting the best range possible and it is with a good deal of pride that much of the range is of British manufacture, it is not a criticism of the overseas suppliers, particularly China who have been very good in this market place for years as they do supply some excellent plastic sledges at very low prices but it is good to see some local manufacturers as well.

There is a standard range of tray type sledges and Splash and Relax have realised that this is a very strong part of the market as they have many advantages and the range of tray sledges is good and at a price that is excellent. The tray sledges are very light and hence easy to carry to the snowy slopes even by younger children and yet they have the robustness and flexibility so essential for good sledging. At the top of the range there are quite a range of exotic sledges which Splash and Relax are very pleased to promote. Two of these are the Double Red Racer which has a steering system and claw brake for ultimate control of direction and speed and can carry 2 people. The second is Snow Bike Red Sledge which is a fascinating bike type sledge which sits like a toboggan with a central raised seat and a ski fitted each side of the seat which also act as a foot rest, at the front there is a smaller ski attached to a steering column with a steering wheel on top operated by the user. This deluxe model must be one of the stars of the slopes and one which every child will be envious of.

Splash and Relax - http://www.splashandrelax.co.uk - are delighted with the finished range of sledges and would invite everybody to have a look at the web site and see not only the great range of sledges but also the great prices that are available.

Splash and Relax are one of the UK's leading independent retailers of leisure equipment including indoor and outdoor games, with a range extending from winter sledges through to full size swimming pools for the summer.

Researchers develop novel 3-D culture system for inflammatory breast cancer

2012-12-08
SAN ANTONIO, TX (December 8, 2012)—Inflammatory breast cancer (IBC) is a very rare and aggressive disease that progresses rapidly and is associated with a very low survival rate. To understand how this type of cancer spreads, it's crucial to characterize the interactions between cancer cells and their 3D environment. Researchers at Fox Chase Cancer Center have developed a novel, 3D culture system that mimics the environment surrounding these cancer cells. This model could be used to test new anticancer drugs capable of inhibiting the spread of IBC tumors. "The tumor ...
