LEAWOOD, KS, December 09, 2012 (Press-News.org) Livewire Concepts, Inc recently raised over $600 for Operation Smile, a nonprofit organization that performs surgeries for children born in third world countries with cleft palettes and other facial deformities.
The cost of each surgery is $240, which is often too much for struggling families in impoverished nations The event was held at McFaddens in the Power and Light District. A raffle was held with giveaways from several local shops and restaurants as well as drink and food specials for all attending guests. The president of Livewire Concepts, C.J. Suggs said, "It's great to see our team come together for such a good cause'. He also said, "We often take for granted what we have so it's nice to be able to give back to those who aren't as fortunate".
