Elements Therapeutic Massage Expands into Shrewsbury

Unique Massage Studio Debuts Highly Customized Massage Techniques

SHREWSBURY, MA, December 12, 2012

It's a myth that all massages are created equal, and local entrepreneurs, Jill and Andrew Dudka, owners of the new Elements Therapeutic Massage in Shrewsbury, along with their Operations Manager Jennifer Silverio, are on a mission to help area consumers experience the healing benefits of massage therapy services tailored to meet their unique needs. The new massage studio, located at White City Plaza, 100 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury, MA next to Planet Fitness and iParty and opens its doors Dec. 15, 2012.

Unlike most Central Massachusetts massage retailers, Elements has created a niche in an increasingly competitive industry by specializing solely in massage services and providing a highly customized experience to each client. According to a study from Trajectory Research of 829 massage users, Elements clients reported more than 50 percent higher satisfaction levels than users of independent massage providers or other major franchise massage brands.

"We are focused on providing customized massages to every client - our therapists use the right technique and right pressure that you just don't find at run-of-the-mill massage retailers," said Jill Dudka, owner of the Elements Therapeutic Massage studio in Shrewsbury. Jennifer added to Jill comments by saying, "The Elements franchise was founded on the healing benefits of massage, and we're looking forward to making a positive impact on our clients' lives."

New England natives, Jill took the lead in recognizing that in Shrewsbury, Elements would be the perfect fit in meeting an underserved niche in the local wellness market while simultaneously giving back to the community. Jill and Andrew have long been proponents of the benefits of massage and understand the positive impact massage can have on stressful lives. While this is the Dudka's first studio, Jill plans to open two more in the near future - one in Massachusetts and the other in Rhode Island, an uncharted territory for the brand.

Once viewed as an expensive splurge, Elements is making therapeutic massage increasingly affordable and available to time-starved consumers who recognize the value of massage in maintaining their overall health and wellness. Those who receive regular massages benefit from lower levels of stress hormones, a heightened immune system, increase in circulation, etc.

Across the country, Elements has generated strong growth even in a down economy with average studio revenues growing 20 percent in 2011 compared to the prior year.* For potential franchisees, Elements boasts a lower investment and cost structure with a smaller footprint, less build-out and lower rent than competitors in the massage retail space; making the franchise more operationally efficient, and is the only massage franchise to share certain gross profit information in its Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).

The new Shrewsbury studio is open 7-days a week, welcomes walk-ins and offers a membership program that allows clients to receive regular, discounted massage therapy services throughout each month. For more information, please call (508) 925-5100.

*Based on studios open for at least 1 year as of January 1, 2011.
