With the likes of Flemenstar, Sir Des Champs and former winner Long Run also in the mix, it looks set to be a vintage renewal of the Blue Riband and you can now bet in the knowledge that BetVictor are non-runner no bet on the action.
The leading betting firm will refund losing stakes up to a maximum of GBP50 per horse and GBP100 per race on the Cheltenham Festival antepost markets as a free bet if your selection is a non runner in the race.
BetVictor spokesperson Charlie McCann explained to RacingTips: "We are trying to give antepost punters a bit of insurance for next years Cheltenham Festival; thus if you place a GBP50 win bet on a selection for the Gold Cup and he fails to make the line up you will get a GBP50 free bet for the Friday of the Festival in your account on the morning of the race.
"If you place 2 x GBP50 win bets on the same race and they are both non runners you will have GBP100 worth of free bets for the day of the race. This concession is to instil some confidence in the antepost market for punters. The offer has been backdated for all antepost bets on the 2013 Cheltenham Festival and we will be advising customers who have already had a bet on the Festival of their insurance."
