ESSEX, ENGLAND, December 14, 2012 (Press-News.org) RakeTheRake is pleased to announce a prestigious new poker tournament specifically for online players. The King of Gamers tournament, set to run for five weeks during January and February 2013, boasts a GBP6,000 prize fund. Four freeroll tournaments will take place in the lead up to the grand final, in which qualifiers will face professional poker player and former gamer Max Silver, who has won over $150,000 in the last 12 months alone.

The Texas no limit hold 'em tournament is being run in association with PokerStars, and aims to find the best poker player from the gaming community. Players can enter as many of the qualifiers as they want. These each have a GBP250 prize pot and will run every Wednesday from January 16th 2013. The full list of qualifiers is as follows:

January 16th 2013 - First qualifier tournament

January 23rd 2013 - Second qualifier tournament

January 30th 2013 - Third qualifier tournament

February 6th 2013 - Fourth qualifier tournament

February 13th 2013 - Grand final

In order to enter, players must register for a PokerStars account at RakeTheRake and complete the entry form on this page: www.raketherake.com/king-of-gamers. Entries must be received at least five days before the qualifier in question (by 2am each Friday), with each requiring a separate entry if you want to play in more than one. The cut-off points for each qualifier are as follows:

2am (GMT) on January 11th 2013 - First qualifier tournament entry cut-off point

2am (GMT) on January 18th 2013 - Second qualifier tournament entry cut-off point

2am (GMT) on January 25th 2013 - Third qualifier tournament entry cut-off point

2am (GMT) on February 1st 2013 - Fourth qualifier tournament entry cut-off point

Entering after a particular qualifier's cut-off point will result in players being placed in the next available qualifier, but those entering after 2am on Friday the 1st of February will not be eligible to play.

Each qualifier will see players battling it out for two seats in the grand final as well the GBP250 cash prize, with GBP5,000 up for grabs in the grand final itself. The full prize breakdown for the grand final is as follows:

1st place - GBP3,000

2nd place - GBP1,000

3rd place - GBP500

4th place - GBP300

5th place - GBP200
