Vince Del Monte Completes Charles Poliquin PICP Level 1 & 2 Certification
2012-12-14
HAMILTON, ON, December 14, 2012 (Press-News.org) Vince Del Monte recently completed his Level 1 PICP training from Charles Poliquin instructors Derek Woodske and Ryan Fanley. An intense 2-day experience teaching attendees how to establish their 1RM (rep max) in the bi-acromial bench press, supinated chin-up, standing reverse barbell curl, parallel bar dips, seated behind the neck press and incline barbell press.

For optimal upper extremity structural balance, attendees are taught what percentage of strength they should shoot for in the smaller stabilizing muscles such as the external rotators of the shoulder, rear delts and lower trapezius, relative to their 1RM. Virtually one hundred percent of the attendees showed imbalances, emphasizing the importance of designing workout programs that target the smaller muscles, not just the big muscle groups.

The Level 1 course went in depth on how to properly assess and train using dozens of upper body exercise variations and explained how to periodize (i.e. plan) each exercise into a training cycle in a progressive and structured manner to maximize strength gains and muscle growth, without risk of injury.

The Level 2 course went did the same thing for the lower body that the Level 1 course did for the upper body. Attendees learned four different tests to assess weaknesses in the lower body muscles such as the quadratus lumborum, adductors, piriformis, vastus medialis, hip flexors, illiotibial band, rectus femoris and more.

The level 2 course introduced the use of advanced training equipment such as chains, bands and various grip strengtheners.

"The structural balance tests are cornerstone before designing a personalized training program because you know what muscles to prioritize to ensure you minimize balances and create a solid foundation to keep your body growing," said Vince Del Monte.

Charles Poliquin's courses are not for everyone. They are for serious trainers who are looking for the most cutting-edge principles and theory in the following concepts:

Principles of Safe and Effective Training, Exercise Selection, Number of Exercises, Rate of Exercise Exchange, Exercise Order and Training Frequency. On top of that, attendees learn to differentiate strength qualities and the scientific basis to the following training loading parameters: Manipulation of Reps, Manipulation of Sets, Rest Intervals and the Science of Tempo.

The information Vince learned at the Level 1 and Level 2 PICP courses is being used to help improve his muscle building programs and Hypertrophy M.A.X. Muscle Camps so that his clients and customers can benefit from the best information in the world.

Vince Del Monte holds an honors degree in Kenesiology from the University of Western Ontario and is a WBFF Professional Fitness Model. As a skinny guy growing up Vince always wanted to add muscle to his frame. Now Vince teaches others how to gain lean muscle mass, eat and train to gain the physique that they want. He has created many exercise and nutrition programs, including No-Nonsense Muscle Building and No-Nonsense 6 Pack. You can read more about Vince on his blog at http://vincedelmontefitness and on his weekly TV show, Live Large TV, which reveals all his advanced muscle building and fat loss secrets http://livelargetv.com.
