GreenLife Water Assesses True Quality of Bottled Water, Filtered Solutions More Desirable

A recent report from the Environmental Working Group reveals that although many consumers trust leading bottled water products, very few brands live up to their proclaimed standards. Water filtration company GreenLife Water weighs in on this topic.

When it comes to water, most people know that drinking water is important. Unfortunately, many who aim to optimize health by consuming clean water may not be receiving all the truth about their trusted bottled water provider. A recent report from the Environmental Working Group presents a collection of public information regarding the quality of popular American bottled water brands and reveals that not very many are willing to provide thorough information regarding health concerns and treatment. Canadian-based water filtration company GreenLife Water encourages consumers to revisit the facts behind their choice of bottled water, as many may realize that filtered tap water provides a higher-quality beverage.

In the report, the Environmental Working Group reveals that according to United States regulations, water treatment facilities are required to provide information regarding the chemical pollutants found in treated tap water. Although many individuals remain concerned about toxins and other unhealthy components in their local drinking water, those who opt for the "purity" of bottled water may be surprised to learn that trusted brands are not forthcoming as local water treatment plants.

After conducting an 18-month investigation, the Environmental Working Group found that "none of the top 10 U.S. domestic bottled water brands label specific water sources and treatment methods for all their products." In addition, it reveals, that "just 18 percent of bottled waters disclose quality reports with contaminant testing results." In response to these findings, GreenLife Water suggests that it is important to pursue water filtration methods as an alternative to bottled water.

According to a recent press statement, GreenLife Water explains, "Based on the results provided by the Environmental Working Group, it is clear that filtered tap water is the best alternative to anyone that is unsatisfied with the taste of their tap water and the price of a case of bottled water." In regards to cost, the report notes that consumers can pay up to 1,900 times more for "premium" bottled water in comparison to tap water sources.

GreenLife Water notes that those who opt to install a three-stage whole home water filter can experience not only cleaner tasting water, but may also improve other areas of life. For example, the whole home water filters provided by GreenLife Water filter all water sources of the home, including those used for bathing, laundry and dishwashing. The company concludes that filtered water can not only enhance one's quality of life, but can also help protect the environment, as new users can cut back on the waste produced by plastic water bottles.
