Women-Owned Businesses Succeeding in a Tough Economy - Local Brokerage Goes National
2012-12-16
FAIR OAKS, CA, December 16, 2012 (Press-News.org) Traci Perry, Owner and President of Spectrum Properties with offices in the Bay Area CA and headquarters in the East Bay announced today that her company has accomplished its goal of taking their business national. Under the leadership of this hard working single mom, Spectrum has grown to become one of the top Real Estate Brokerage and Commercial Asset Management companies in the Bay Area and has just reached the benchmark of taking their Asset Management services national. Traci, who often consults for her clients in the areas of Real Estate and business, identified an opportunity to grow her company when most of the competition were either downsizing or reducing services. She elected to keep her high end boutique style and grow it by offering even higher levels of service to her client base.

When asked, about how the change came about Traci answered, "The industry had lowered its prices over and over again out of fear of losing clients in a tough economy. The cost of doing business, however, didn't go down. The result is that most companies had to cut services in one form or another. That is a risky move in an industry where you are responsible for protecting, managing and growing the wealth of your clients, while keeping their tenants happy. Instead, we asked a fair price for our services and consistently deliver exceptional results."

When asked how that worked out, Traci replied, "We didn't lose a single client on price, in fact we continue to grow at record rates and complete deals even in the slow season regardless of the economy." This first step into the national arena marks a milestone for the efforts of Traci, her company and women owned businesses everywhere.

Traci continues to grow the business and develop new business opportunities for her company and her clients, including an international venture with an, as yet, unnamed women owned software company developing a new asset management software out of Europe, but that is another story.

In this economy women may have an advantage as demonstrated by Traci Perry of Spectrum Properties. With a combination of determination, innovation and a nurturing style of collaboration, she took her company from national in only two years. Traci has also recently been awarded a letter of commendation from Innovation Norway for her assistance in supporting women owned businesses at the international level.
