EAST ORANGE, NJ, October 17, 2010 (Press-News.org) Wahida Clark Presents plans to launch its first Young Adult line January 7, 2011. The opening novel entitled "Under Pressure" by Rashawn Hughes is the first of many to come. Under Pressure will be released in stores January 7, 2011.
The Wahida Clark Presents Young Adult line (YA) is targeting young adults ranging from ages 14-18. Wahida Clark Presents has catered to adults with her street lit selections over the past couple of years, and finally decided to give youths a taste of what they've been missing. This fiction based line will provide youths with realistic characters and scenarios. WCP's Young Adult Line will carry the same message throughout its books as the street lit titles in that, every deed has a consequence. Clark's intent is to capture the hearts and minds of youth globally.
Wahida Clark initiated her writing career while incarcerated in federal prison. During those nine and a half years, her creativity flourished. Her first novel "Thugs and the Women Who Love Them" positioned her for much needed success! As a New York Times bestseller, Clark has yet to disappoint her readers. Her down-to-earth spirit deems her relatable to whomever she is faced with.
Wahida Clark Presents Publishing, established in 2007, has made its mark in the publishing industry. The WellMed Charitable Foundation will receive part of a nearly half-million dollar federal grant to widen the scope of a successful wellness curriculum for caregivers designed by researchers at the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio.
The program, dubbed "Caregivers Stress Busters," will be comprised of nine, 90-minute weekly sessions. Caregivers who attend will learn several stress management techniques including relaxation breathing, guided imagery, meditation, art therapy, music therapy and journeying.
