NEW BERN, NC, December 23, 2012 (Press-News.org) Fairfield Harbour (www.fhpoa.com), a residential boating and golf community located 15 minutes from historic New Bern, has announced that Mystre' Van Horn, community manager, was recently named one of the top 50 on-site community managers in the United States by The Council of Community Association Professionals (CCAP). Van Horn has the distinction of being the only community manager in North Carolina named to the list, which places her in contention for being named the 2013 National On-Site Manager of the Year. Van Horn has served as Fairfield Harbour's community manager since 2011. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the community as well as overseeing the communication between staff, owners, committee members, board members and local leaders. With a longstanding background in the real estate industry, she previously worked for Century 21 prior to joining Fairfield Harbour's professional management company, Community Association Services (CAS).
In addition to her involvement with CAI-NC, Van Horn works alongside a number of professional organizations, including the North Carolina Registered Parliamentarians (NCRP), the National Association of Registered Parliamentarians (NARP), National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers (NBC-CAM), Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) and the Association Management Specialists (AMS).

"On behalf of the board, I want to thank Mystre' for her dedication and insights for improvements at Fairfield Harbour that led to her to finish among the top 50 community managers across America this year and to be nominated for the 2013 National On-Site Manager of the Year," said Larry Knapp, president of the Fairfield Harbour board of directors. "She is committed to cultivating a distinctive living experience here, and these honors serve as confirmation of the results she is achieving as she helps Fairfield Harbour become recognized nationally as a destination for setting down roots and giving back to the community."
"It is a great way to begin the holiday season by receiving this unexpected but much appreciated honor,"
said Van Horn. "Working for Fairfield Harbour is truly a delight, as I have the opportunity to meet and work with so many diverse residents, guests, developers and others who make this a community one of a kind.
