MINNEAPOLIS, MN, December 26, 2012

The Minnesota personal injury attorneys at Fay & Associates are pleased to officially announce today's name change from McSweeney & Fay to Fay & Associates. Named partner Michael J. Fay recently purchased the law firm in its entirety.

In addition, the firm has relocated to the downtown Minneapolis Elliot Park neighborhood, with new offices in the Hinkle-Murphy House. The 1886 Colonial Revival mansion, on the National Register of Historic Places, is a golden-brick, restored beauty where clients will be surrounded by old-world charm and elegance. The new offices are located at 619 South Tenth Street, Minneapolis MN 55404.

For those whose injuries prevent them from easily coming to the Hinkle-Murphy House, the lawyers at Fay & Associates will meet with them at those clients' homes or hospital rooms. The office is also fully handicapped-accessible.

The transition from the old name to the new will be seamless for existing clients, who will feel no effect on their cases.

Attorney Fay represents negligently or wrongfully injured people and their families in a broad spectrum of personal injury matters such as motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, construction accidents, wrongful death, dog bites, premises liability, dangerous products and drugs, and workers' compensation for those injured on the job. Mr. Fay also defends clients in criminal matters, both misdemeanor and felony.

Michael Fay graduated cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, after having completed his undergraduate work at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, where he graduated magna cum laude.

Also a cum-laude graduate of William Mitchell College of Law, associate attorney Eric Bruce Nelson also represents personal injury victims and workers' compensation claimants, as well as helping individuals and families with estate planning matters.

Fay & Associates recently hired attorney Courtney Cove, another William Mitchell College of Law graduate. Ms. Cove completed her undergraduate studies with honors at The University of St. Thomas in 2003. Ms. Cove will be handling personal injury and criminal defense cases.

All personal injury work is done on a contingency basis, meaning that unless Fay & Associates collects money damages on behalf of a client, such as for medical costs, lost wages and other harm suffered, no legal fees will be collected.

The law firm also has seasoned investigators and paralegals on staff to help gather evidence and thoroughly research the legal basis of every case.

Fay & Associates represents clients with a broad range of injuries from whiplash and broken bones, to brain and spinal injuries, and even for wrongful death.
