HOLLYWOOD, FL, December 28, 2012 (Press-News.org) Yomeka Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of Living for Legacies, has been selected as a VIP Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Timber Yomeka Johnson's commitment to excellence in Non-Profit.
Johnson, who began working in her industry in June of 2005, currently serves as owner and operator for her not-for-profit organization. Its mission is to help young girls, ladies, and women in the Jackson, Mississippi area with personal, emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical growth. The goal is to help young ladies with low self-esteem through the use of arts and tutorial services by developing social skills one community at a time.
"The women in my family have been independent and strong. They have influenced me to be what I am today," Johnson said about her reason for opening the non-profit.
Inspired by her grandmother and mother, along with her church family, Johnson is also the author of a children's book, 'Kerri Washington's First Day of Kindergarten'. She attends Greater Mt. Bethel COCH under Elder Glake Hill, Jr. and also sings in a gospel group, Psalms 150.
