MINNEAPOLIS, MN, December 29, 2012 (Press-News.org) Fishbowl Solutions, an Oracle WebCenter Content and Portal Specialized Gold Partner, has announced the 2.0 release of their Duplicate File Checker for Oracle WebCenter Content. This release includes enhanced reporting functionality and configurable similar-match scoring for improved duplicate detection and prevention.
Duplicate File Checker provides WebCenter administrators with a criteria-based report of existing duplicate items and allows multiple items to be easily deleted directly from the report page.
End users are provided with information about duplicate files during the check-in process to prevent new duplicates from entering the system. Duplicate results include both exact checksum matches as well as similar file matches.
Highlights of the 2.0 release include:
• Ability to enter search criteria to limit results when reporting on duplicates
• Ability to extend duplicate file report access to sub-administrators
• Configurable and sortable report columns to show and hide metadata fields for easier duplicate file management
• Ability to delete multiple files directly from the duplicate report page
• Ability to export duplicate report results to Excel
• Ability to search for similar and exact file matches for existing content items
• Configurable security option to limit exposure of exact file matches based on user permissions
• Configurable scoring criteria and weighting to identify similar files based on standard and custom metadata fields
In addition to the Duplicate File Checker component, Fishbowl Solutions also provides a free Duplicate File Report component allowing WebCenter customers to evaluate how many duplicates are in their repository. This component is available for download from the Fishbowl Solutions website.
Fishbowl's Duplicate File Checker supports Oracle WebCenter Content 10g and 11g.
Duplicate File Checker 2.0 for Oracle WebCenter is licensed per Oracle Content Server and is available directly from Fishbowl Solutions.
