PC Professor is Awarded a State of Florida Grant for Unemployed Workers
Florida contracts with their #1 job placement provider to solve a 4 year old problem.
WEST PALM BEACH, FL, December 29, 2012
PC Professor, a long-time expert of placing students in high-demand occupations is attempting to help solve a local employment issue. The issue is fairly simple- Palm BEach County has jobs, but their workers aren't skilled enought to fill those positions. This newly awarded stimulus grant will help resolve the pressure on the area's unemployed.To be eligible, a candidate must be unemployed, or facing a pending layoff. The applicant must currently reside in Palm Beach, Broward, Martin or St. Lucie Counties. Self-employed individuals are eligible and participants must be authorized to work in the US.
Approved preparatory programs include:
MCSE 2012/MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
MCDBA (SQL 2012)
MCSD (C#, ASP.net, Visual Studio 2012)
Computer Repair (A+, N+, and Security +)
Webmaster (Dreamweaver, SEO, CSS, HTML 5, Jquery, MySQL, Javascript)
Microsoft Office Specialist
CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
Their hands-on, career classes begin monthly and are held at both their West Palm Beach and Boca Raton campuses. Sessions are offered on a daytime, evening or weekend basis and all classes include phone support, free refreshers and job placement assistance.
If approved, there will be NO out of pocket costs and all of the books, tools, academic software and certification vouchers are included in the grant. In business for 24 years, PC Professor is licensed by the Department of Education and is an authorized Microsoft IT Academy.
Group eligibility sessions for West Palm Beach and Boca Raton PC Professors will be held:
January 7th, 2013 at 9am - 10am
January 14th, 2013 at 9am - 10am
Please visit the school's website and fill-out the preliminary survey to see if you may qualify for this financial assistance. Once the forms are reviewed by a school official, a State Representative will meet with you to assign you to your class.
