Virginia Medical Acute Care Offers Limited Time Raffle

Dr. Mark Davis invites patients to get a flu shot for only $10 and they will be entered to win a special prize.

2012-12-30
SPRINGFIELD, VA, December 30, 2012 (Press-News.org) While the flu season is still underway, Dr. Mark Davis strives to increase awareness to this common illness. In order to encourage more patients to receive their flu shots, Dr. Davis is excited to offer a special raffle. When patients get their flu shot in Springfield for only $10, they will be immediately entered to win an HDTV. This special prize is for a limited time only, and patients are encouraged to act fast.

"The single best way to protect against the flu is to get vaccinated each year. Influenza is a serious disease that can lead to hospitalization and even death in those that are high risk. In order to raise awareness and encourage our patients to get their flu shot we are offering a low price, in addition to entry into our exciting raffle. I highly encourage each and everyone of our patients to participate," said Dr. Mark Davis, offering Springfield flu shots.

It is important for those at least six months of age to get the flu vaccine to protect them. Patients who are at a high risk of developing serious complications like pneumonia of they get sick with the flu are also encouraged to get the flu shot. Typically, Dr. Davis suggests that patients receive the flu vaccine during a tight period of time in October and November of each year. However, as more and more people want to immunize, the time period of availability has slowly been expanded. Dr. Mark Davis, doctor in Springfield, VA, strongly encourages everyone to get the flu shot as soon as it is available.

Anyone who is interested in protecting him or herself from getting the flu is encouraged to contact Virginia Medical Acute Care (VMAC), offering Springfield, VA workers compensation services. There is no appointment necessary and the cost is only $10. The immunity of a flu shot lasts for a substantial period of time, which allows for proper protection throughout the season.

Dr. Mark Davis encourages everyone to receive the flu shot yearly, since the vaccine changes from year to year, based on projections of the type of flu that may be spread during that year. Contact VMAC, offering DOT physicals in Springfield, VA, for more information on the flu shot and to be entered into the raffle for an HDTV.
