MINNEAPOLIS, MN, January 05, 2013 (Press-News.org) "The Mayor of Minneapolis After Dark", L.A. Nik, announced today that he will release a first-of-its-kind, self-help book entitled "LIFE IS SHORT, THEN YOU'RE DEAD FOREVER".
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
New author, L.A. Nik, a career musician, promoter, and entrepreneur from West Hollywood, CA has authored a new book targeted at middle-aged people that have become stuck in a rut, struggling to achieve their dreams in life and work - seeking words of wisdom that are actually achievable points of traction.
The sub-target for the book is the entrepreneurial-minded teenager that has a defined sense of personality. The author believes kids will resonate with his book, as he guides them through a simplistic school of thought that clearly defined his life forever, as early as the 9th grade - leading to entrepreneurialism, business ownership, and a more fulfilling way of life.
"After reading this book, I want you to learn to live life to the fullest and understand that, "Life is Short, then You're Dead Forever." There are no second chances. No do-overs. You can't get on the ride again once it's over with - its born from my personal experiences and mistakes I've made. You will not find any feathery prose or poetry. There are no biblical passages. There are no tapes to buy. No chants to memorize. It is just realistic, straightforward advice on how to life your life without regret - like me". - L.A. Nik
RELEASE DATE
The event is open to all ages where L.A. Nik will be participating in the meet and greet and signing on January 10th, 2013 at Bank Restaurant & Bar, whom is hosting the event, at the Westin Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. The event is a combined book launch and birthday party for the author, running from 5:30pm - 8:00pm, with a sampling of hors d'oeuvres and a happy hour cocktail menu. One dollar from every book purchase thereafter will go to The Sanneh Foundation, whom will also be present at the event.
ABOUT THE BOOK
Published by Cartus Press, "Life is Short, then you're Dead Forever" is the culmination of a life of experience with people, careers, marriage, drugs, poverty and wealth. This book is a quick, energetic read that is intended for those that truly want to take away action points to apply to their life. It is refreshingly simplistic and delivered in a storytelling format. The author explores born-in "powers", in the form of chapter titles that do not come easy for many, but are identifiable in all successful people.
L.A. Nik's second book "EVERY WOMAN SHOULD READ THIS BOOK", has an anticipated Summer 2013 release date.
THE SANNEH FOUNDATION
L.A. Nik has partnered with national soccer pro, Tony Sanneh and the Sanneh Foundation to help drive awareness to the release of his book and a notable non-profit. One dollar from every book purchase for the first year will be donated to the Sanneh Foundation to help their investment in the local community. The Sanneh Foundation is "an organization that uses sports to unite diverse communities, helping at-risk youth develop into leaders and experience success".
"I think the mindset of my book really aligns with the goals and mission of the Sanneh Foundation. My ideals are simple and easy for kids to understand and I've delivered them in a language that they use everyday." - L.A. Nik
