Culinary Institution Promotes Kathy Hodapp To Oversee National Enrollment Over Both Campuses

2013-01-06
INDIANAPOLIS, January 06, 2013 (Press-News.org) The Chef's Academy (http://www.thechefsacademy.com), the Culinary Division of Harrison College, a 110-year-old, nationally accredited institution that offers 40 degree programs in five schools of study, has announced that Indianapolis campus president Kathy Hodapp has been promoted to serve as the institution's national director of enrollment. In her new position, Hodapp will be responsible for the development and implementation of the strategic direction of enrollment management for The Chef's Academy and for overseeing leadership training for administrative personnel. Additionally, Hodapp will monitor and analyze competitive activity, market dynamics, recruitment patterns and historical data in an effort to establish appropriate inquiry benchmarks for the institution. Through her leadership, the culinary institution will be able to continue to provide a high level of academic excellence, student service and regulatory compliance through effective planning, coordination and implementation of strategic and tactical directives.

Hodapp joined The Chef's Academy seven years ago and has served in various positions, including campus president and admissions representative. She spearheaded the formation of a strategic planning committee for both The Chef's Academy and Harrison College, and she utilizes her global vision to identify future areas of expansion for the culinary institution. Hodapp analyzes program offerings at The Chef's Academy to ensure that only the highest and most beneficial level of culinary and pastry education is offered to students.

In recognition of her high level of service to The Chef's Academy, its faculty, staff and students, Hodapp was named the institution's "Campus President of the Year" in 2011. She is an active supporter of several community organizations, including Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, the Marion County Commission on Youth and the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation's Ride for Kids.

QUOTES:
"Kathy's proven leadership and passion for serving our students will continue to be an invaluable asset as she manages enrollment for The Chef's Academy," said Tony Hanslits, national dean of The Chef's Academy. "We will look to her expertise to help guide us in fulfilling our mission of providing excellent culinary education and play a crucial role in our future expansion."

"As national director of enrollment, I will work tirelessly to expand The Chef's Academy's student base through letting high school students, military veterans and nontraditional learners know about how we can prepare them for a wonderful career in culinary or pastry arts through a top-notch education," said Hodapp. "Being an advocate throughout the country for our institution will be integral in our growth, and I look forward to telling prospective students how we provide strong educational options and a variety of services to equip them with what they need to be expert chefs. As we seek opportunities for future expansion, I will always keep the needs of current and prospective students at the forefront."
