Orlando Auto Justice Attorney Michael T. Gibson Announces Updated Edition of the New "Pip" and Launch of Website

Orlando Personal Injury Attorney Enhances Consumer Book on 'PIP' Insurance

2013-01-06
ORLANDO, FL, January 06, 2013 (Press-News.org) Auto justice attorney, Michael T. Gibson of the Orlando-based personal injury law firm of Michael T. Gibson, P.A. is pleased to announce the updated edition of his book entitled, The New "PIP." Along with the book, he has launched a new website, http://www.newpip.com, which features valuable information for Florida accident victims, consumers, and physicians treating injured car accident victims on the recent changes to PIP insurance in Florida that took effect on January 1, 2013. There is also a form on the site where consumers can order the book at no charge.

"I revised the book a bit to further educate consumers on this important issue," said Michael T. Gibson. "As of January 2013, consumers are really only getting 25% of the coverage they are paying for and they have every right to know that. The law was designed to protect consumers from lawsuits, but it will in fact force almost every accident victim into litigation between the medical provider and the auto insurer."

The changes to PIP insurance coverage in Florida significantly impact the time an accident victim has to bring a claim to receive PIP benefits and coverage for injuries. As of January 1, 2013 accident victims have only 14 days to receive medical care for injuries incurred in an auto accident. In Florida, consumers are required to carry $10,000 of personal injury protection coverage, but the new law will only cover $2,500 for medical care in most cases. The new law deprives consumers of 75% of their insurance coverage.

Gibson has been a long time advocate for consumers' rights and believes firmly that it is time for a change in Florida's auto insurance laws to protect consumers. He continues to fight aggressively at legislative sessions in Tallahassee in hopes that Florida will pass a real auto insurance reform, one that fairly protects consumers, not insurance companies.

The Orlando personal injury law firm of Michael T. Gibson, P.A., is dedicated to cases involving auto accidents, nursing home abuse claims, premises liability and slip and fall injuries throughout Central Florida. The firm also represents consumers and individuals in insurance disputes of all types. Attorney Michael T. Gibson's practice is grounded in his family's experiences. Having witnessed his own mother suffer through a horrific auto accident, he has personal experience fighting a large insurance company to obtain justice. He brings this experience along with his legal skills and training into every case he handles. Mr. Gibson is also the author of "Your Complete Guide to Florida Auto Accident Claims." Those interested in obtaining a free copy of his book, can download it on the firm's website. For more information, visit http://www.autojusticeattorney.com or call 1-888-465-1577. Se habla Espanol.
