COPENHAGEN, DENMARK, October 19, 2010 (Press-News.org) Leading igaming software provider GTECH G2 unveiled a major casino software update featuring new branded content -- the Sherlock Holmes slots game -- at the European iGaming Congress that opened in Copenhagen today. The super sleuth of Baker Street has been sited at the company's massive exhibition stand at EiG and is expected at its annual dinner for partners and friends tomorrow night.
EiG delegates will give a sneak preview of the new Sherlock Holmes slots game which is part of GTECH G2's Casino software update. The first in a series of Sherlock Holmes branded content to be released, it will be previewed at the exhibition prior to its launch on licensee sites. The beautifully illustrated feature-filled 5-reel, 25-line slot game based on the Sherlock Holmes detective stories and novels by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle will have players grabbing their magnifying glasses and heading to 221B Baker Street to search for clues and collect prizes for winning combinations. In the Bonus Round, they'll help Holmes and Watson solve a murder. There is also a progressive jackpot waiting to be found. Sherlock's silhouette serves as a scatter symbol giving free spins. The player can nab Holmes' archenemy, the evil genius Professor Moriarty, on any active pay line for more winning combinations. Five Blue Diamonds hits the game's progressive jackpot.
In addition to the new Sherlock Holmes slots game, five other new slots and video poker games are also included in this latest casino software update: Break the Bank, Caribbean Draw Poker, Miner's Luck, Demonio and Mobster Cash. Three new games have been added to the instant-play casino: Flush Bonus Poker, Triple Ace and Mini Bingo Hi-Lo.
"We've made major advances in all of our product lines this year," said Dominic Mansour, Head of Gaming Products at GTECH G2. "I'm sure branded content like the Sherlock Holmes slots game and the Chippendales mini game embedded in our bingo product will turn a few heads on the exhibition floor. No one else has live bingo presenters like we do either. But other developments like improvements to the playercentric back end systems that integrate all aspects of an operator's business are just as significant."
GTECH G2 is the only interactive gaming software and services provider that can supply a complete end-to-end solution including lottery, poker, sports betting, bingo, casino, skill games, instant games and back office systems to commercial and state-run operators. It operates the International Poker Network (IPN) which has more than 4,000,000 active players across Europe and the International Bingo Network (IBN), more than 80 European bingo sites with over 15,000 daily active players and over EUR20 million per month in pay outs.
