CARY, NC, January 10, 2013 (Press-News.org) Cary MacGregor Rotary Club and Life Experiences, Inc are pleased to announce the 6th Annual Fat Tuesday Mardi Gras Fundraiser. On Feb. 12 at 6:30 p.m., Spectrum Properties will host the fundraising event at The Atrium in Cary located at 11000 Regency Parkway. Proceeds from this event will help Cary MacGregor Rotary Club and Life Experiences fund various philanthropic projects throughout the year.
"This event brings our community members together under one roof to raise money for a wonderful cause while at the same time enjoying music, food and time with friends," said Donna Peffley, Cary MacGregor Rotary Club President.. "Our club strives to be very philanthropic, and we look forward to giving back while having fun."
Attendees will have the chance to sample a wide variety of foods and wines from popular area restaurants. There will also be a chance to win prizes including golf packages, handmade jewelry and gift baskets along with live auction items.
The entertainment for the evening will be music by the Lisa Hayes Band, a popular area band. Dress is business casual or festive attire. A live auction will also take place during the 8 o'clock hour with emcee Ernie McAlister, former Cary mayor.
Some causes to benefit from the fundraiser include the Boys and Girls Home at Lake Waccama, PolioPlus, Cary MacGregor Rotary's annual scholarship award, and creation of employment opportunities for adults with disabilities.
Major sponsors include Spectrum Properties, S&A Cherokee and Waste Industries, to name a few.
Attendees will enjoy great food, fun and fellowship while raising money to give back to the community. The $50 tickets can be purchased at the door or by e-mailing Pam Seagroves at pseagroves@burnsbynum.com.
