World of Beer SMU to Host Grand Opening Celebration and Ribbon Cutting

World of Beer SMU will host will host its official grand opening celebration on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 at the bar located at 5600 SMU Blvd. Dallas Chamber of Commerce members will be in attendance to celebrate the official ribbon cutting.

DALLAS, TX, January 12, 2013 (Press-News.org) The new World of Beer (WOB) SMU, a thriving beer-centric tavern boasting an extensive collection of brews from around the globe, will host its official grand opening celebration all day on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 at the bar located at 5600 SMU Blvd. Dallas Chamber of Commerce members will be in attendance to celebrate the official ribbon cutting at 3pm.

Following the ribbon cutting, the celebration will continue with live music, prizes and giveaways throughout the night. Marisela the Voice will perform from 4pm - 7pm, and Brad Thompson & Greg Luce will perform from 9pm - 1am. A charity raffle, benefiting St. Jude Children's Hospital, will begin at 7pm. Prizes include an iPad Mini, a home brewing kit, local brewery items and World of Beer giveaways.

"Dallas, meet your craft beer haven," said World of Beer SMU General Manager Manny Ballesteros. "We invite you to join us for our official grand opening so you can see that we are constantly learning and having fun with the beer industry and we want to spread that knowledge to our community."

Guests will enjoy limited edition and exclusive kegs all day. World of Beer SMU will also be showcasing their new 'Randall', an organoleptic hop transducer module whose double-chamber filter connects to the tap of your favorite beer and fills it with flavor-enhancing ingredients.

The bar will feature areas dedicated to local breweries, which will allow guests to ask questions and speak with brewery representatives one-on-one. Those breweries include Deep Ellum, Revolver Brewing, Lakewood Brewing, Firewheel Brewing, and Peticolis Brewing.

Food at World of Beer is available with an assortment of brats, pretzels and quesadillas. Customers are also always welcome to bring their own food.

The new tavern, part of a national chain, offers guests more than 500 different, ever-changing bottles and 40 rotating taps from around the world. Currently, Tampa-based World of Beer Franchising, Inc. has 35 taverns operating in 11 states. The World of Beer concept has become a nationwide phenomenon because they have fine-tuned a niche for those who share a passion for great craft beer.
