VERO BEACH, FL, January 17, 2013 (Press-News.org) The Pharmacy Department at the Specialty Hospital of Washington-Hadley has received the Clinical Site of the Year Award from Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS). Since 2010, SHW-Hadley's Pharmacy department has been recognized by CPS with the Site of the Year award in 2010 and the Best Practices Award in 2011.
"The pharmacy team has worked very hard with the Nursing, Medical and Administration teams to improve patient safety and provide quality of service over the past four years. Our employees are very motivated, dedicated and loyal. It is an honor to be recognized as the best team by this award. I am very proud of my team members who achieve the CPS mission of Advancing pharmacy practice, one patient at a time," said Helena Lee, Director of Pharmacy for SHW-Hadley.
The Best Practices award was awarded to the team for its success in achieving a 95% compliance score on the CPS Annual Operations Audit, an intense and thorough review of key pharmacy performance indicators with particular emphasis on regulatory, financial and operational matters, as well as areas such as customer service, quality assurance and performance improvement. Each award is given to one hospital in each of the 9 regions covered by CPS. This includes over 300 hospitals in 46 states and in the Caribbean.
