Covington Who's Who Selects Janet G. Bradsher as an Executive Member of the Executive and Professional Registry
2013-01-17
HOLLYWOOD, FL, January 17, 2013 (Press-News.org) Janet G. Bradsher, Controller for Alere Toxicology, has been selected as an Executive Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Janet G. Bradsher's commitment to excellence in Accounting.

Janet G. Bradsher began her career in accounting with the architectural/engineering firm Dewberry& Davis. She served in an administrative position which enabled her to get her feet wet in just about every aspect of the business. She was able to get a taste of accounting as well as operations, and was able to learn and understand the nature of the business.

Now a controller for her current organization, Alere Toxicology, Bradsher manages the accounting department, handles payroll, commissions, and some human resources aspects. She also oversees operational issues such as warehouse processes, SOX compliance, and software solutions to help streamline manual processes and eliminate them altogether where possible.

"I always thought that climbing to the top meant just perfecting my craft in the accounting field," Bradsher admitted. "Learning operations and logistics were way out of my comfort zone, but in my struggles, my skill set went to work and helped me in several areas to see the big picture as well as the details, and to be more forward-thinking."

Having always been driven to succeed, Bradsher has been working hard since high school. After earning her BS and MBA, both while working full-time, she has accepted nothing but the best from herself. And although she said she sometimes "falls flat on my face, I get up and keep going," which is truly a great strength to have.

The certified green Six Sigma is now studying for her black belt and plans to continue working in her line of work for many years to come.
