Carolina Ballet To Sponsor Chamber Executive Women's Luncheon Jan. 17

Local Arts Organization Supports Greater Raleigh Chamber Of Commerce Quarterly Networking Event

RALEIGH, NC, January 17, 2013 (Press-News.org) Robert Weiss, artistic director and CEO of Carolina Ballet (http://www.carolinaballet.com), has announced that the company will sponsor the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce's Chamber Executive Women's Luncheon on Thursday, Jan. 17 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Raleigh-Durham/Research Triangle in Cary, N.C., located at 201 Harrison Oaks Blvd. The Chamber Executive Women's Luncheon is a quarterly networking event that connects executive-level professionals and managers to share thought leadership in their respective fields. This event, titled "How Engaging with Nonprofits Benefits Your Business," will provide attendees the tools needed in order to make solid charitable decisions when investing in their communities. Furthermore, attendees will learn which nonprofits are a good fit for their business, when it is OK to deny a request, which staff members should be appoint to this task, and what opportunities for partnerships with nonprofits are available.

A panel of local business professionals and nonprofit leaders will share their knowledge during the event, including: Sandi Macdonald, president and CEO of the North Carolina Symphony; Michele Reeves, manager of organizational development and human resources at SAS; Crystal Suazo, partner at Vaco Raleigh, LLC; and Pat Wilkins, president of the Junior League of Raleigh.
