PGA Professional John Mallinger Joins the Fourteen Golf Professional Staff

Mallinger became a supporter of Fourteen Golf during the 2012 PGA Tour season, using Fourteen Golf branded wedges to secure his 2013 playing privileges on the PGA Tour.

2013-01-17
IRVINE, CA, January 17, 2013 (Press-News.org) FOURTEEN GOLF, a global leader in wedge and iron design with over 48 professional tour victories, announced today that the company has signed an endorsement agreement with PGA Professional John Mallinger.

Mallinger became a supporter of Fourteen Golf during the 2012 PGA Tour season, using Fourteen Golf branded wedges to secure his 2013 playing privileges on the PGA Tour.

According to Fourteen Golf COO Marcy Kamoda, "We are very pleased to add John to our team. His talent and short game skills make him a great spokesperson for the company. Last year he ranked 9th overall in approaches from 100 - 125 yards. He has currently been working with our soon-to-be released high performance RM-12 Wedges, giving him a wider range of shots to improve his short game."

Mallinger finished the 2012 PGA Tour season in 88th place in the FedEx Cup standings with 543 points and ranked 86th in Money Leaders on the PGA Tour in 2012. Mallinger will play Fourteen Golf RM series wedges, carry the Fourteen Golf staff bag, headcovers, towel and umbrella and wear Fourteen Golf headwear.

The Fourteen Golf RM-11 Wedge received its name from the measurement of "revolutions per minute." The enlarged grooves impart such exceptional spin and rotational speed that the design team thought the name was fitting.

The Fourteen Golf RM-11 Wedge feature larger grooves that translate to maximum spin with exceptional control. The new USGA conforming Fourteen Golf trapezoidal grooves have been enlarged by 15% as compared to its predecessor. This increase in overall groove volume enhances spin retention particularly on partial shots. These new grooves have been tested on the PGA Tour and the Pros all agreed, the RM-11 Wedges with their soft feeling head combined with uniquely shaped larger grooves provide extraordinary control, incomparable spin and precision like accuracy.

"John is a very talented golfer and we look forward to working with him in 2013," added Kamoda. "We are excited to have him as part of our team."

Fourteen Golf will showcase its new 2013 equipment line including the RM-12 Wedge, and TC-330 Irons, and CT-112 Driver on Wednesday, January 23rd at the PGA Show Demo Day at the Orange County National Golf Center from 9:00am to 5:00am. To demo Fourteen Golf equipment during the 2013 PGA Merchandise Show, the company will be exhibiting in the Equipment Testing Center at hitting bay #41. They will be participating for the entire show from Thursday, January 24th to Saturday, January 26th in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.

Fourteen Golf is a burgeoning golf equipment company that takes great pride in their tour program. In addition to John Mallinger, in 2012, Fourteen Golf officially signed Japanese golfing prodigy and PGA Professional Ryuji Imada to a three year endorsement deal which includes a staff bag, head covers, hat, umbrella and wedges. They join Fourteen Golf PGA Professional staff members Chad Collins and Arjun Atwal.
