MIAMI, FL, January 19, 2013 (Press-News.org) The Greater Miami Youth Symphony Chamber Ensembles will perform on Lincoln Road at the ArtCenter's monthly Studio Crawl on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 7:30pm to support a night full of artistic spectacles. The event is held every first Saturday of the month and allows visitors to observe the artwork of their current exhibitors throughout two different, beautifully decorated buildings. Spectators will also get a chance to meet the current artists in residence of ArtCenter while they listen to beautiful music played by our GMYS students.
The Greater Miami Youth Symphony is an independent six-level orchestra program dedicated to training young musicians between 5 and 18 years of age. In addition to the large ensembles, GMYS offers students a chance to participate in chamber music ensembles. Through their participation in chamber ensembles, students are able to participate in events such as Studio Crawl. One of our most known programs is our Preparatory Division through which we serve over 400 beginning-level musicians with free group instruction and instruments. Conceived as a complementary facet to music instruction in the schools, GMYS has continuously succeeded in presenting high caliber performances to South Florida audiences.
