2013-01-21
DURHAM, NC, January 21, 2013 (Press-News.org) Brian Giordano, President of Integrated Audio Video at Southpoint, has announced that David Steffens has joined the team as a Senior Project Manager, and Garrett Seybert has been hired as a Level 1 Project Manager.

Originally from Troy, Michigan, David Steffens has over 20 years of experience in electronics working for companies including: Tweeter in North Carolina, NOW Audio Video in North Carolina and Tennessee, Media Systems in Boston and Palm Beach, and Rising Sounds in Florida. As Senior Project Manager at Integrated Audio Video, Steffens will be responsible for the overall installation process working with clients, staff and vendors, provide business knowledge and technical skills for design project installation strategies, oversee project proposal development, and provide leadership and guidance in the day-to-day operations for Integrated Audio Video installations.

"David is a brilliant system designer, and his attention to detail is paramount," said Giordano. "He not only knows where technology is going, but he can identify what is merely a fad. This is a key in determining the right technologies to meet customers' needs and expectations, as well as keeping the technology up-to-date."

Steffens holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, and he currently resides in Hillsborough, NC with his wife, one child and two beagles. You can find him enjoying a round of golf or fly-fishing when he's not immersed in AV projects.

Originally from Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, Garret Seybert has served the real estate and development markets as a project manager for over 7 years for companies including: PS Equities, First Communities and Hexagon Wake Park in Benson, and he has been fabricating custom home and car audio systems for over 10 years. As Level 1 Project Manager at Integrated Audio Video, Seybert will provide business knowledge and technical skills to design project installation strategies, assist with bidding and budgeting, and schedule installers and equipment as needed for new installation projects. Seybert holds degrees in Technology and Business Management, and he currently resides in Cary, NC with his wife and twins. When his hands aren't full balancing work projects and two three month olds, you can find him on a wakeboard, skateboard or surfboard.

According to Giordano, "Garrett's business management skills, combined with his passion for and experience with technology, can help us take Integrated AV to a new level. These two new hires will truly poise us for a prosperous 2013, given the recent growth we have seen in our market."
