TradeMark Properties Welcomes John Powell As Executive Vice President Of Investment Services

RALEIGH, NC, January 23, 2013

Billie Redmond, CEO of TradeMark Properties (http://www.trademarkproperties.com/), has announced that John Powell has joined the firm as executive vice president of investment services. In his new position, Powell will oversee a variety of commercial investment opportunities for clients and will be responsible for more than 200 individual properties listed for sale. In addition, Powell will provide leadership for TradeMark Properties advisors and all brokerage operations, and continue to work with select clients as their Listing Agent and Exclusive Tenant Representative. His two decades of experience in the local real estate industry will provide the deep level of expertise that investors have come to expect from the growing TradeMark Properties organization.

A native of Cary, N.C., Powell received an associate degree from Louisburg College in Louisburg, N.C., and a bachelor's degree with a concentration in marketing from East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C. In 1992, he created Powell Properties, Inc. and quickly became a well-respected and recognized commercial real estate leader among business and community peers. For the next 18 years, he was responsible for the leasing, sales and development of more than $750 million of investment grade real estate and completed transactions in every part of the greater Triangle area. Powell Properties, Inc. then joined KW Commercial in Cary, where Powell was named one of the "Top 10 Producing Individual Agents in the Carolinas Region and served on the National Leadership Council for KW Commercial." Active in the real estate industry, he is a member of the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) and the Triangle Commercial Association of REALTORS (TCAR). Powell resides in Raleigh with his wife of 19 years and their four children.
