CARLSBAD, CA, January 25, 2013 (Press-News.org) IT managed services provider StarPoint Advantage (www.starpointadvantage.com) top executive David Davis was recently named by the San Diego Business Journal as a finalist in its annual Most Admired CEO awards.
The popular networking reception and awards program recognizes dynamic San Diego business leaders selected for their achievements and contributions to the region's economy.
Davis was among a special group of elite executives recognized at the event held Dec. 6 at the Paradise Point Resort and Spa on Mission Bay in San Diego.
A panel of independent judges picked the finalists and honorees.
"I was humbled to be included with the other CEOs who were singled out for this recognition," said Davis. "The CEOs so honored are a very special group, and this is quite an honor for all of us."
Davis also paid tribute to his employees, who have built StarPoint Advantage into one of the most successful IT managed services businesses in the region. "They have helped build the company and so should be included in this recognition."
Davis launched StarPoint Advantage in 2008, when he spun off the business from another company to focus on new market opportunities in San Diego.
Since then, Davis has grown sales, generating successful top and bottom line results, along with a long list of satisfied clients, many in the legal industry.
This was the second year in a row that Davis has been honored as one of the San Diego Business Journal's most admired CEOs in the region. In addition, his 5-year-old firm came in at No. 30 on the Business Journal's 2011 list of the 100 Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies.
Executives were honored in categories, including public company, privately held company, nonprofit organization, business nonprofit, government agency, family-owned business, and education.
More than 400 executives and their guests attended the event led by San Diego Business Journal President and Publisher Randy Frisch.
"San Diego is home to some of the most successful companies and business people in the world," said Frisch. "At the San Diego Business Journal we do more than just cover these standouts, we reward them for their success."
