'Labor Unions & Workers' Compensation' LaborPress Article By David Klein
Near the end of 2012, I was privileged to write an article for "The Future of Health Care" issue of the highly-respected magazine, LaborPress.
January 30, 2013
My article, "Labor Unions & Workers' Compensation" discusses the important connection between workers' compensation cases and labor union representatives and shop stewards. You can read the article here.If you are a working man or woman and belong to a union, you can count yourself lucky to be one of many brothers and sisters whose union contracts offer protection from unscrupulous and abusive employers. If you do not belong to a union but are given the opportunity to join one, I hope you'll explore that opportunity as seriously and thoroughly as you can, because a good union can be a lifeline to all sorts of on-the-job protection.
Every day I, David Klein, represent injured workers in Workers' Compensation and Social Security Disability cases, and every day I see how important a shop steward or union representative can be in helping to properly document accidents; this is vitally important, because a case that is well-documented is often worth a great deal more money at settlement than one that is poorly documented. I've been inspired by the dedication and passion of the shop stewards and other union representatives I've worked with.
I hope my article gives you a clear picture of the important connection between labor unions and Workers' Compensation and Social Security Disability benefits. As always, please feel free to call me at 917-639-5350, or visit my website, www.thekleinlawgroup.com if you have any questions.
