EXTON, PA, January 31, 2013 (Press-News.org) BlueCielo ECM Solutions, a leading global software company offering engineering content management (ECM) solutions, announced today that Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc., a wholesale electric power supplier, has selected BlueCielo to implement its leading solution for the utilities industry, BlueCielo Meridian Enterprise, in order to take advantage of the solution's powerful enterprise-wide collaboration and workflow features.
Tri-State generates and transmits electricity to 44 electric cooperatives that serve about 1.5 million customers across Colorado, Nebraska, New Mexico, and Wyoming. Amongst Tri-State's 1,200 employees, hundreds of engineers, CAD designers, system operators, and maintenance technicians, must regularly access thousands of engineering documents and drawings to help keep the company's transmission and generation facilities operational.

Tri-State has also chosen to implement several modules to facilitate data exchange within the company, including BlueCielo Publisher, BlueCielo Advanced Project Workflow, and the BlueCielo Asset Management Module. BlueCielo Publisher will allow Tri-State to render and publish engineering documents from BlueCielo Meridian Enterprise, while BlueCielo Advanced Project Workflow will enable concurrent engineering. Furthermore, the BlueCielo Asset Management Module will integrate with Ventyx Asset Suite, the software the company uses to manage enterprise asset information, with BlueCielo Meridian Enterprise to allow the Operations & Maintenance Department to view an asset's relevant engineering content, such as drawings and technical specifications, with the click of a button.
