MATTHEWS, NC, February 05, 2013 (Press-News.org) She performed on a national platform with Donald Lawrence and the Tri-City Singers. Now, Arnetta Murrill-Crooms is finding her own voice, releasing her first solo project and establishing herself as one of gospel music's most celebrated artists. Since her award winning days with the Tri-City Singers, fans (as well as industry leaders) have waited in anticipation for a solo project from Arnetta. Well, at long last, the wait is finally over and the world is able to witness Arnetta establish herself as a solo artist on the gospel music scene. Her label, On The Beat Entertainment, got a jump on the new year by releasing her first single, "Try It Again," the first week of January 2013. This upbeat tempo song encourages listeners from all backgrounds to pursue their dreams/passions despite all obstacles. The song has received rave reviews online and is slated to hit the airwaves early this year.
A native of Wilmington, NC, "Netta" (as she is affectionately called by her fans and loved ones) began singing almost as early as she was able to utter her first words. Her talent, affiliations and insurmountable passion to spread the word of God through music have earned her numerous accolades and admiration from her peers. Singing with her family group, The Murrills, she led the dynamic hit single "There's a Healing" on their debut album Family Prayer. The group received both Grammy and Stellar award nominations. She was also featured on notable projects including Bishop T.D. Jakes' "Usher Me," Donald Lawrence's critically acclaimed " I Am God," "In The Presence Of The King" and "Love The Hurt Away."
Passionately driven to helping people through her ministry, the public can expect to hear a lot more from Netta. Her first self-titled project will be released this year and is expected to generate an incredible response. She, as well as her label, will document her journey online and interact with the fans. To give the world a glimpse into her personal life and inspirations she created a mini documentary during the making of her project.
