LOS ANGELES, CA, February 07, 2013 (Press-News.org) The Rift announces release of their first full length album "2012" now available on iTunes - the album leads off with the well sewn up single "Sweet Affliction". The self described hard, dark and edgy rock band is reminiscent of other heavily guitar weighted bands such as 30 seconds to Mars, Story of The Year and Avenged Sevenfold.
Late last year at The House of Blues on the Sunset strip in LA The Rift packed the Parrish room and received a standing ovation demanding an encore. So successful was this event, that they've been invited back to perform again on Friday, March 22nd, at which time they will be unveiling their new line of merchandise.
The Rift's uniqueness begins with 3 guitar players that use finger lights through all of their intricate fret work to make for a captivating live show. There is no half way for these performers, they give it their all for every show. They are also pros at engaging with their fans between songs which is just a few reasons why their fan base is growing exponentially.
The band has been very busy playing gigs from Los Angeles to San Diego thus far with plans to expand the tour dates to include the entire West Coast. They recently played in San Diego, CA at Queen Bee's, in Santa Monica, CA at the Trip, LA's famous Viper Room, and in Downtown Los Angeles at Airliner. They've performed alongside other top notch stand-out rock groups such as: Exodus, The Misfits, Inside the Black, Kitten Kouri, Dave Edery and Brando's Island.
The Rift have no problem gigging outside the box, by playing at the first ever Los Angeles County Fair Battle of the Bands, and also at the USC tailgate party right before the Trojans played Cal. With those triumphs under their belt, the Band is going no holds barred in 2013.
