Located on the 2nd floor above the ever popular Hank's Oyster Bar on King St, REVEL is a hidden gem of a boutique. The REVEL aesthetic focuses on affordable, fashion forward styles with a versatility which allows shoppers to dress up or dress down new finds with their current wardrobe. The well-edited assortment includes styles handpicked in the Fashion District of Los Angeles.
On the accessories side, REVEL carries Swedish designed jewelry line Timi. With lego, rabbit, and braided metal and leather pieces, the line adds the element of "cute" to shopper's jewelry collection. Added to the mix are vintage and hand crafted pieces by local designers. Ranging from vintage bead bracelets to woven recycled chip bag clutches to silk floral leather cuffs, the accessory mix by local designers at REVEL is ever changing to feature emerging artists. Bright colorful art is displayed on the white gallery-like walls adding another opportunity for local artists to showcase their work.
Owner, Francesca Tanedo, opened REVEL in January 2013 alongside her online shop, REVELSTYLE.COM. Tanedo is a graduate in Fashion Design at Virginia Commonwealth University, School of the Arts. Gaining her experience in Los Angeles, Tanedo worked for companies such as Hera, EM&Co, Oliver Peoples, Oakley, and Funktional. "I was working in Los Angeles, handling photo shoots, managing great designers, and hosting events for emerging talent. I really just wanted to bring the fun opportunities, and new styles to my hometown!"
