Gori Julian & Associates Working with MCBA to Help Feed the Hungry

Feeding Illinois helps distribute food to needing citizens through a network of roughly 2,000 pantries, shelters and soup kitchens.

2013-02-18
EDWARDSVILLE, IL, February 18, 2013 (Press-News.org) Edwardsville-based Gori Julian & Associates is partnering with the Madison County Bar Association (MCBA) as part of a statewide Illinois State Bar Association campaign to collect food and monetary donations to benefit local food banks. The food drive will take place from February 18 to March 1, 2013, and is being conducted in cooperation with the state food bank association of Illinois known as Feeding Illinois.

Feeding Illinois helps distribute food to needing citizens through a network of roughly 2,000 pantries, shelters and soup kitchens. In 2011 alone, Feeding Illinois helped supply 2.9 million meals to children through various programs and distributed 120 million pounds of food to an estimated 1.4 million people here in Illinois; which represented an astonishing 61 percent increase since the most recent recession started.

In a recent statement, MCBA President Angela Donohoo declared, "All the food and money we raise locally will be distributed to persons in this county who do not have adequate food. Our lawyers are excited to be part of this effort by the Illinois State Bar Association."

During this food drive campaign, monetary donations for food banks in Madison County can be made online. However, both lawyers and members of the public in Edwardsville can make donations of non-perishable food items in person at the law offices of Gori Julian & Associates located at 156 North Main Street.

The attorneys at Gori Julian & Associates strongly believe in being active members of the community and giving back to those less fortunate; as their participation in the recently announced food drive fittingly illustrates. In fact, lawyers from Gori Julian & Associates support several dozen local organizations and groups.

In addition to their community involvement, the highly skilled attorneys at Gori Julian & Associates represent victims of asbestos-related injuries, in addition to cases involving occupational diseases, personal injury and pharmaceutical litigation.

For more information on the upcoming food drive, or the areas of law practiced by the attorneys at Gori Julian & Associates, feel free to visit www.gorijulianlaw.com or call toll free at 888.362.6890.

Calling the local fish and wildlife authorities thinking a bobcat might be on the prowl they are unaware the breed thrives on human interaction and behave, for the most part, like your average domestic cat breed.
