To Position Trade a stock is held through mild retracements and periods of consolidation, until a predetermined exit price is reached. Position Trading can be done with as little as one or two hours a week, because you are holding the stock for much longer periods of time. You don't have to study charts each night and you enter only a few stocks each month. Short Term trading has become popular in recent years. Position trading can be highly lucrative, works in all kinds of market conditions, and it is an especially strong trading style during choppy sideways markets.

Position Trading is far less risk than Options. If you want to learn how to trade Options you need to know how to Position Trade, because Options are usually 90 day contracts. This means you need to be able to tell when a stock is about to move, how far it can move, and how long it will take to reach the target price.
