Melani Griffith Named Executive Vice President of Business Development of Penthera Partners

Former Insight Executive Reuniting with Willner

REDONDO BEACH, CA, February 21, 2013 (Press-News.org) Penthera Partners, Inc. named former Insight Communications executive Melani Griffith to the position of executive vice president of business development. Griffith is reuniting with Insight's former CEO, Michael Willner, at the software development and licensing company.

"Melani is the right person for the right job at exactly the right time," stated Willner, who is now Penthera's president and CEO. "She brings a wide spectrum of experience including video product management, affiliate sales, content acquisition and advertising sales. Given our focus on mobile video software, she is the perfect person to discuss our products with our distribution and programming network partners."

"When I was in charge of video product management at Insight, I would have loved to offer Penthera's products; enabling our customers to be freed from tethered connections and delivering content whenever, wherever and however they choose," added Griffith. Prior to joining Insight as senior vice president of programming and video product in 2004, Griffith ran the eastern division for affiliate sales at AMC Networks and was an account executive in advertising sales for Fox Cable Networks. Past honors have included a "Wonder Women" nod from Multichannel News in 2010; inclusion in the "Leaders Under 35" feature by Electronic Media and in the "Top 50 to Watch" by Cable World.
