Palma International Yachting Forum Releases Mobile App

Mindful of the fact that the yachting industry is far from a nine-to-five desk job, organisers of the Palma International Yachting Forum have created a mobile app which is designed to run alongside the event's comprehensive website.

MALAGA, SPAIN, February 22, 2013 (Press-News.org) Mindful of the fact that the yachting industry is far from a nine-to-five desk job, organisers of the Palma International Yachting Forum have created a mobile app which is designed to run alongside the event's comprehensive website.

Running from 1 to 3 May 2013, concurrently with the Palma International Boat Show of 1 to 5 May, the Palma International Yachting Forum promises an impressive attendance of specialist participants and leading authorities from the superyacht world - a welcome addition to the early season calendar of nautical events.

Forum organiser Peter Franklin, himself a member of the Balearic Nautical Business Association, says, "We have devised the mobile app, downloadable free of charge, to include all the required information on the venue and program plus an instant booking form. Numbers are restricted to 120 delegates and, with just ten weeks until kickoff, we recommend that you take hold of your smart phone now and book early or face disappointment."

In conjunction with the 30th Palma International Boat Show, which after a 2012 hiatus promises a striking comeback including a 30-strong line-up of luxury yachts over 24m in the inaugural "Palma Superyacht Brokers' Show", the three day Forum will cover a varied range of key subjects concerning the administration, technical management and ownership of large commercial yachts. Palma is the ideal venue with one of the finest and best established infrastructures in the world for berthing, maintaining and repairing superyachts and catering to the needs of their owners, charterers and crew.

Outside of Forum session hours, delegates will be able to avail themselves of networking lunches, cocktail receptions and a paella dinner. A Forum highlight will be the friendly one day golf competition at the Jack Nicklaus-designed Puntiro Golf Course on Saturday 4 May. With late tee times to accommodate weary heads, this links-likened course promises as much of a challenge as it does a good time.

For those staying the weekend, free entry will be offered to the Palma International Boat Show as well as the chance to experience a unique "Rib, Ride 'n' Rotor" Rally on Sunday 5 May. Up to one hundred guests will be able to soak up the best Palma has to offer by way of a high-speed RIB, off-road driving in a fleet of Karmann buggies and a helicopter to take it all in from the skies. Forum participants who book prior to 21 March will get first refusal at a great all-inclusive price with the wider yachting fraternity invited to take up any remaining places thereafter.
