2013-02-23
CHESHIRE, ENGLAND, February 23, 2013 (Press-News.org) Families are being given the rare opportunity to see Britain's Got Talent Winners Ashleigh and Pudsey perform a dazzling routine later this year.

Lauded by Simon Cowell as the best dancing dog he has ever seen, Pudsey will be making his debut at The Pet Show at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire in July.

The runaway winners of Britain's Got Talent 2012 will be adding a bit of celebrity sparkle to the launch of the two-day animal extravaganza set to attract more than 20,000 people.

Britain's favourite alternative dance duo will officially open the show before performing a routine. Pudsey and his owner Ashleigh Butler will also sign copies of Pudsey: My Autobidography - a book charting Pudsey's early life before he found fame and fortune.

Since winning Britain's Got Talent last year, Ashleigh and Pudsey's showbiz career has gone from strength to strength headlining the Royal Variety Performance in November, making an appearance on a number of hit TV shows including America's Got Talent and recently making the announcement that they will be heading for the big screen in a film about their rise to success.

Describing the film to be produced by Simon Cowell's Syco Entertainment, Ashleigh, 18 said: "It's all incredible really. I know that I will get emotional when I see Pudsey up on the cinema screen."
Ashleigh began training dogs from the age of five before winning the television variety show with Pudsey. The early years saw Pudsey becoming the first dog in England to be an agility champion and top in canine freestyle.

"I've grown up with pets all my life and see the direct benefits associated with owning a pet. I'm delighted to be attending a show primarily aimed at families and pet lovers of all ages", said Ashleigh.

The Pet Show Director, Ian Sear said: "With a movie on the horizon, we're delighted that Ashleigh and Pudsey will be taking time out of their busy schedule to make an appearance at The Pet Show."

"Ashleigh and Pudsey have taken the world by storm since they won Britain's Got Talent so it's fantastic news that they will be taking the opportunity to go back to their roots and perform on a local level."

The Pet Show is set be the UK's largest multi pet show and will take place on the weekend of July 20th - 21st attracting pet lovers and families from right across the UK.

Ashleigh and Pudsey will perform on both Saturday and Sunday and there will be opportunities to have photos taken with the duo and even take part in a meet and greet.

"The show will be split into six sections, each section representing a popular family pet. With estimates that 48% of UK households have at least one pet, this show will be a real head turner," added Ian Sear.
