Orlando Attorney Michael Gibson Sponsors the American Mock Trial Association's Regional Tournament

The University of Central Florida Mock Trial Team advances to the next level of competition with support from local attorney.

ORLANDO, FL, February 24, 2013 (Press-News.org) Auto Justice Attorney and UCF alumnus Michael T. Gibson of the Orlando personal injury law firm of Michael T. Gibson, P.A. (http://www.autojusticeattorney.com), was a local sponsor of the American Mock Trial Association's Orlando Regional Tournament held on Saturday, February 16th and Sunday, February 17th. The UCF Mock Trial team advanced to the next level of competition, along with six other teams.

"We really appreciate the support of Mr. Gibson," Dr. Margarita Koblasz of the UCF Department of Legal Studies said. "Our team is one of the teams advancing to the next level of competition and has been given the opportunity to compete in the National Championship Tournament in April. Without Mr. Gibson's help this would not have been possible."

The annual regional tournament took place on UCF's main campus in the Health and Public Affairs Building (HPA1). Undergraduate students traveled from across the United States to compete in four rounds of mock trial competition. The teams that were recognized as the top seven "Outstanding Trial Teams," include: University of Central Florida, Furman University (two teams), University of Florida, Florida State University, Elon University and the University of Florida. UCF student, Jackie Derovanesian, received the Outstanding Attorney Award.
