SAN DIEGO, CA, February 25, 2013 (Press-News.org) Jackson Design & Remodeling today announced that voting begins today in the 2013 JDR Industry Blogger Awards. This year there are 47 nominees in six categories: Interior Design, Construction Business, Remodeling, Architecture, Green and Microblog. Winners will be determined by the number of votes received beginning today through April 12, 2013. The six winning blogs will be announced April 17. Each winner will receive a $500 cash prize and a 2013 JDR Blogger Awards Winner badge to display on their site.

"We're hoping that the JDR Blogger Awards will bring additional recognition to the work of the industry's best bloggers, while supporting our efforts to promote the professionalism of the remodeling industry and keep our clients informed about the latest trends in home design," said Todd Jackson, president of Jackson Design and Remodeling.

"This year, we added the category of 'microblog' to acknowledge the tremendous influence of social media. The Best Microblog category encompasses the shorter blog format used on sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr, where a post may be as simple as a sentence, a photo or a video link. We're excited to see how the public votes and which blogs they select as the best of the best," said Jackson.
