CAMPOBELLO, SC, February 27, 2013 (Press-News.org) Today, Blue Ridge Log Cabins craftsmen are building Mike and Beverly Roseman's "dream home" in a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled manufacturing facility. In just a few weeks, the home will be delivered to Black Mountain, NC and assembled on a rugged mountainside in a one-day experience the company is known for.
The scene is not unusual for the custom log home builder, which has been designing, manufacturing, and delivering dream homes in this revolutionary process for 20 years. What's unusual is that this is not the Rosemans' only Blue Ridge dream home. And it's not their only dream.
Almost a decade ago, Mike and Beverly had a vision to turn their love of log cabins into a business of multiple log cabin vacation rentals. They built their first log home from a log cabin kit in 2005. After 18 months of work and tough lessons, the first cabin of "High Rock Rentals" was finally finished. For the next one, the couple knew they wanted another beautiful log home, but they wanted a quality hands-on builder, a simpler process, and a faster, more efficient production. They turned to Blue Ridge Log Cabins.
"With the first home, we had no idea building log cabin vacation rentals would be so hard. The second time, we had no idea it would be so easy," said Beverly.
Blue Ridge Log Cabins is the only company in the world that combines quality solid log home construction with modular building systems, resulting in substantial cost and time savings for its customers.
In 2009, the Rosemans built their second Blue Ridge log cabin, and High Rock Rentals emerged as a premier provider of luxury log cabin vacation rentals in Black Mountain, N.C., all nestled on the Rosemans' 20-acre North Carolina property overlooking Mt. Mitchell, the Blue Ridge Mountains, a picturesque pond, and a rushing creek.
Today, the dream home coming together at the Blue Ridge facility is a Jocassee V model, with custom modifications made specifically for the Rosemans and their four children. The home is scheduled to be delivered and assembled on-site February 27, 2013.
"Working with Mike and Beverly has been such a joy for everyone at Blue Ridge. Having built two rental cabins for them already, we were thrilled when they came to us again to build their personal home," said Chip Smith, president of Blue Ridge Log Cabins.
Indeed the Rosemans and Blue Ridge Log Cabins have grown close over the last eight years -- so close that the Rosemans are sharing their experience with Blue Ridge on their blog at http://www.lovemyBRLC.wordpress.com. Here they publish regular updates and videos of the log home construction from start to finish, as well as insights about the new home's design. Log-in on build day and watch live as the one-day assembly process is broadcast live via USTREAM and filmed for an upcoming episode of Blue Ridge Log Cabins "Blue Ridge Log Cabins Build-iSode" web series.
