HOUSTON, TX, August 22, 2010 (Press-News.org) Peaches, plums, and nectarines...oh my! On Sunday, September 19, join culinary mastermind LJ Wiley, executive chef and partner of Yelapa Playa Mexiana, along with noted food photographer Ralph Smith as they bid a fond "farewell to stone fruits" during a 10-course plated dinner at Ralph Smith Photography studio, located at 5226 Elm Street in Houston.
"Think Spiced Peach Gazpacho with Crispy Pickled Peach, paired with a Cooper Farms Peach Bellini," says Wiley. "And that's just the first course." Maintaining the dinner party theme, each course will be paired with cocktails inspired by apricots, cherries and even more delectable berries.
Weather permitting, the plated dinner will be served al fresco around the photography studio's striking lily pond and lush courtyard of herbs, vegetables and tropical flowers. (If Houston's heat proves too hot to bear, the party will move indoors, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the courtyard.)
Pre-dinner cocktail reception at 6 pm, followed by dinner at 6:30. $125 per person, all inclusive. Only 50 seats available. Make your reservations early for what's certain to be a September dinner to remember. To book your seat at the table, call Yelapa Playa Mexicana at 281.501.0391.
