Online Education Organization eTeacher Hebrew Explains Benefits of Internet-Based Learning

Shiri Smid from eTeacher Hebrew explains its program's teaching method and highlights the value that online learning platforms can bring to students.

2013-02-28
PHILADELPHIA, PA, February 28, 2013 (Press-News.org) eTeacher Hebrew is an online language academy that has led the efforts to integrate Internet-based learning models with tried and true traditional educational best practices to create an instructive environment that is effective, convenient, and valued by students. A recent article posted by SFGate supports the idea that online learning has become an integral aspect of today's society. Shiri Smid, marketing manager at eTeacher, has responded to the article with a statement to the press revealing how the organization has created its innovative learning platform.

One of the most prevalent criticisms of online education is that it offers little in the way of interaction between students and their instructors; however, eTeacher has recognized the need for both convenience and personal attention in the online learning arena and has, essentially, created an educational system that allows its instructors to meet this need.

The article succinctly describes the quick judgment that individuals may make regarding online education because of these criticisms: "Educators have so many options today. I mention this because sometimes when people talk about online education, the implication is that we are choosing between a small room where an instructor practices the Socratic method and a cold, two-dimensional course with little flexibility and no human contact."

The professionals at eTeacher are certain that quality education and online learning are not mutually exclusive. In fact, the company that has created this learning platform has designed an educational method that allows for both the personal attention of the traditional educational world and the flexibility and convenience that are equated with the online learning model.

"eTeacher's language lessons are conducted live and online by a certified native instructor located half a world away," explains Smid. "Students use their personal computer to log into a virtual classroom and participate in a lesson. To fit today's innovative technological environment, we have adapted advanced standardization by support tablets and smart phones, as well as a computer. The bi-directional interaction provides the immediacy, intimacy, and effectiveness of a physical classroom while offering the flexibility and comfort of study from home, office, or another preferred location."

eTeacher Hebrew encourages anyone who is interested in learning the Hebrew language to visit its website to learn more about the unique learning environment that the company has created.
