DENVER, CO, February 28, 2013 (Press-News.org) Une Belle Vie Memorial Urns, an online retailer that sells unique and custom urns, marked its third anniversary and announced a 201 percent revenue increase from 2010 to 2012. The company's success is a result of unique products, aggressive online marketing strategies and a shift in the funeral industry towards custom memorials.
Une Belle Vie launched in February 2010, after the passing of the founders' son who were unable to find an urn that best memorialized him. Their goal was to provide a wide variety of traditional and artistic urns for those looking to buy a unique or custom memorial for their loved ones. Today, Une Belle Vie has more than 375 styles in its online showroom and has created custom urns such as the Diva High Heel Shoe Urn, an airplane urn, a sparkling wine bottle urn and a sewing machine urn.
"We have seen the most growth in our custom urns and artistic line," said Melody Jamali, president and founder of Une Belle Vie Memorial Urns. "Our top sellers are unique urns from our Une Belle Vie Exclusive line that reflect the person's hobbies and personality."
The recent CNBC documentary Death: It's a Living, profiled the death care industry and discovered two main trends in the business: cremation and customization. These trends are the basis for Une Belle Vie, giving more creative and unique options to help families memorialize their loved ones.
The company reports the following 3-year business results:
• 201 percent revenue increase from 2010-2012.
• 199 percent increase in products sold.
• 92 custom urns produced.
• 76 unique urns created for the Une Belle Vie Exclusive line.
"The funeral industry is changing, and we feel that Une Belle Vie is at the forefront of this transition," said Jamali. "Everyone should be memorialized in a special way that is unique to who they were. We help them find that, and, if it doesn't exist yet, create it."
