IOMIC Grips Were Used by the Winner Of the WGC Accenture Match Play Championship

"The low torque, high traction design of our grips consistently helps players maintain great feel and control in challenging conditions like those experienced at this event," said Katz Murai, Overseas Division of IOMIC.

2013-02-28
SANTA ANA, CA, February 28, 2013 (Press-News.org) IOMIC USA, manufacturer of innovative, revolutionary and dynamically designed grips, announced today that the winner of the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship used IOMIC grips.

"In cold, windy weather conditions like those experienced at this event, it is important for golfers to maintain feel and control of their clubs throughout the swing. The low torque, high traction design of our grips consistently helps players maintain great feel and control in challenging conditions like these. We congratulate the winner on his outstanding victory at the Match Play Championship," said Katz Murai, Overseas Division of IOMIC.

The winner used Sticky 2.3 gray grips in his woods, and Sticky 2.3 black grips in his irons and wedges. He won 2 and 1 on the 17th hole in his final match after winning five other matches in the 64-player bracket. He became the second player in the last three years to win the Match Play Championship without ever playing the 18th hole. His win moved him to No. 2 in the PGA TOUR's FedExCup standings and to No. 8 in the world.

IOMIC Sticky grips are incredibly soft, and feature great traction and low torque. These versatile grips are suitable for all playing styles, from beginners to top ranked tour professionals. The Sticky 2.3 is the standard size grip in the Sticky series and is available in a wide variety of colors.

All IOMIC grips feature the revolutionary "IOMAX" technology, a proprietary compound that provides a soft feel with control. This material provides adhesiveness, is water and friction resistant and is naturally white in color which allows for a full spectrum of color - IOMIC's signature trait.

"Our grips have been very popular on all Tours and we are thrilled to report that this is our 5th Tour win of the season," added Murai. "We take pride in providing innovative grips to golfers of all playing abilities and strive to help all golfers enjoy the game more."
